deCielo Creative Collective is a group of creative and technical professionals. We are good at the internet. We focus on designing beautiful, usable websites and developing efficient, secure, and powerful web applications. And sometimes we offer up something crazy and fun, just to keep ourselves sane and make sure people don't take life too seriously.

History

Long ago, Carlos spent a summer with four friends hacking together websites in FrontPage from the basement of a local businessman. This basement summer planted the seeds of interest in web design and development—as well as foosball—in young Carlos.

Following completion of a Computer Science degree from Harvey Mudd College, Carlos spent two years fixing computers and supporting users as the Engineering System Administrator at HMC. He finally escaped to Seattle, joining HMC and frisbee friend Brook Riggio in the glamorous life of freelance web development.

Brook and Carlos conceived of deCielo, one afternoon in late 2006, on the return drive from business in Portland. Carlos' goal was to establish a professional brand as well as an umbrella organization for creative pursuits. deCielo has waxed and waned—mostly waned during Carlos' stint as a real employee at NeonGecko.com, Inc.—but returned with a vengeance in September 2008. A beautiful, happy vengeance.
